Assalam-o-Alikum.
Dear members, I have recently bought Cultus. From pas few days, while opening the fuel tank cap, pressure is released. The same was never occured previously.
Please guide in this regard.
AFAIK, due to movement of fuel in tank and the heat absorbed from surroundings, the fuel slowly vaporizes. This vapor creates pressure in tank. There is usually a vent hole somewhere near the cap so you should check if it is blocked or clogged with dust or something else.
normalnothing to worry about
The vapors of un burnt carbon is harmful for the environment. Hence the charcoal canister is provided the to absorb them in euro compliant cars. It is located in The fuel tanks.
is it pressure or suction?
While filling petrol it came out.

its normal nothing to worry about.
under the car is a one way vent valve for the tank, it usually gets clogged with dirt, clean it out. If its a euro II or something like that it may have a charcoal canister and vent, in which case the canister acts like a vapor trap and can be either pressure regulating or vacuum assisted depending on how much "emmissions compliant" suzuki are.
What is this black thing in Engine Compartment.
charcoal canister
