posting a D.I.Y for making attaching an audio auxilliary cable for the 8th Gen Civic i did a couple of days ago. UPDATED(DIY FOR STEERING WHEEL AUDIO CONTROLS INCLUDED ASWELL)

thingd u req are
a) 2 X cd rom connecting cables available from all cptr shopa for around RS 50.
b) 1 X audio jack (normal headphones 1) aval for Rs 10 to Rs 50 depending on quality.
c) headphone wire around 2 feet. Price Rs 20
d) difficulty level 2/10

pins 5 n 15 are required to be attached together as this makes the aux to be activated. Pin 3 is the common Aux ground. pins 13 n 14 are the aux right n aux left. Pin 4 will not be used as its aux shield and not required. So just attach 5 n 15 together n the rest 3 wires are to be connected n ur good to go.!!

sorry the above pic shows how to neatly tuck the wire into the compartment ahead of the gear lever. Remove the garnish around gear lever (put gear lever in N position to remove the garnish without scratching it n gear lever). Then by pulling the lower part in the manner illustrated. Then route the wire as shown in the initial pics posted.

u can use this aux with ur phone. The advantage is that while playing music from ur fone if a call comes u can hear it in all the speakers like that of a phone connected to via bluetooth. Just have to press the accept button n ur good to go. Ive att the Nokia headphones for better mic output.ill post the pic later

i use the 'Mode' buttton on my steering wheel to shift to aux to listen to any phone call if im listening to the cd player or radio.

a wire made like this wouldVe hardly costed Atlas Honda RS 100 . Yet charging 2 million for the oriel prosmatec without nav n leather seats .

this is the nokia handfree i use. With the aux cable. This 1 can clip to 1s shirt or can be fixed place it at a permanent place close to the driver better mic input n changing tracks on his phone!
