After sanding, and removing most black spots as possible, washed again with soapy water (and degreaser) to ensure its oil free.
Let it dry in the sun for a bit.
Started masking off the areas where I didnt want to get the paint on to.
First Coat of Primer
Second Coat of Primer
First Coat of paint
While the first coat was drying, I went on and installed the new grommets on the bolts. I didnt get take the picture of the grommets earlier, but I painted them black as well. I installed grommets on EK as well, and I noticed that within a month spots started showing on the silver body of new grommets; so decided to paint them black before installing.
Applied second coat of paint
and the third coat of paint...
And finally the outcome!
By the time I was done installing the valve cover back on the head, it was getting dark, so didnt get the best picture of the engine bay.
Will take more pictures in daylight.
