Honestly, once first time it was done then I could see bubble coming out from Radiator, he tried to fix me and I said, I know things better than he does. He consulted his colleagues and decided to undo the Job. I had to buy a new gas kit a loss which I had to bear but again the same problem came up. Next time week after I went to another better mechanic and gave him the history what had happened earlier and he was able to fix the problem. This involves facing of both the plates and then to be on save side he fitted the liana with aftermarket non-steel gaskit. Problem was solved.
Obviously changing Thermostat valve and Radiator cap alone will not solve the issue on your vehicle. You will have to change the Head gas kit. Once job was done, later after two week, I realized that Radiator was still loosing the coolant whereas I did not see any signs of bubbles in Radiator and signs of water in engine. I kept on standing with vehicle in “on position” in order to find a leak pipe as all of them were already changed. After 20 minutes I again caught a quiet criminal which had earlier went undetected from my eyes. Once Pressure developed inside the Radiator to an extent then coolant should move to secondly reserve bottle whereas I saw Radiator cap opened for an interval and water was sprayed into the engine from Radiator cap whereas very small quantity went into the secondary bottle.
This Radiator cap was bought from Waseem Autos Authorized Suzuki dealers from Sadar Areas of Rawalpindi. I went to the showroom and bought a new genuine Radiator cap and problem was solved.
Multitudes of issues on Suzuki Liana, I don’t think it’s a good design so be very careful and take all the necessary precautions so next time you don’t have to face the issue at-least with head gas kit.
Also, get the Radiator serviced if not in top notch condition. Head gas kit is your main issue and remaining are the precautions.
