The CD 20 is tough as tough comes and very miserly on fuel.
The reason it is not popular here is that once you remove the cylinder head bolts - buy new ones they are torque to yield bolts - secondly the timing belt installation is a little art. (mechanics cant understand TTY bolts)
Finally fill with proper coolant mixture and just check it through the expansion tank - if you open up the cap - bleed the system from the valve.
These engines will outlast the toyota 2C by a few magnitudes - Ive rebuilt CD17s and they are super super sweet engines even after 150K Kms.
The nozzles I prefer to use in them are DN0 SD293 (whisper nozzles) or the regular DN0 SD211 (forklift CD17) nozzles
