Is it better than the 22 year old 4d56 it replaced! You bet! Gearbox is questionable, will find out after abusing it some more. Other thing to keep in mind is that it is a tremendously heavy engine.
@ ZararGreat refreshing memories. However, the place looked like cr@p back in 2010!!! I cannot believe it is the same Deosai we just visited. Too big a difference.

@ rao , the 2jz engine is a real monster, i know, i have it in my toyota crown, i wanted to know is it good for a 4x4 as well ? i am willing to have it in my 4x4 which i will acquire in a few months
@Annas, its great, but go for the simple 2JZ-GE motor, don't go for the VVT-i.
