No matter how you try to spin the final decision, in the end, all the facts and input from everyone here is in front of you. The LC is a more 'all-rounder' machine (family friendly + offroad friendly) than the LRD.
The 2 machines are from totally different worlds and should not (not can not) be compared.
If I were in your shoes, I would go for LC hands down. Our last event in Rawat was a shocker for me as almost all the LRD's did not perform as well as I had expected when it came to climbing slopes etc. so much for the endless torx. Whereas the TLCs and Jeeps conquered pretty much everything.
Then again, I have also seen and sat in Ali's LRD in Kalaam, and it was the best performer out of all the vehicles there....so to sum this all up, I would say the machine we choose has EVERYTHING to do with the kind of drivers we are.
Some might agree that 'the machine chooses you, and not the other way around'
