e Get a rig which is easy to fix and easy to finds parts.
To begin the FJ that is offered by tareen is a good buy. Let me split the cost for you.
250K for the fresh auctioned FJ
50K for the transportation and registration.
100K for a decent Body and paint Job. Remeber Decent not great.
80K for the stock 2F to run.(you will need a new Carb and new Coil over and above the Overhauling)
100K for MICS(soft top, upholstery, complete transmission service and stuff)
Add 20% to the above for contingencies.
Add as much as you want for Khoaaree and time at the workshop.
I wud suggest you buy a stock FJ40 in reasonable running condition, run it for a few months do some offroading and hang out wid the IJC guys and learn. Then take up a full frame off restoration.
