Stay within the 1000cc price bracket, 1300cc will not only cost you more upfront you will get an older car and end up losing money throwing parts.. not to mention why the older cars are sold by their owners in the first place, its because it has aged a lot and developed major underlying issues..
That said, forget most of the advice here and listen to yourself, only you know what suits your needs perfectly. Also search for a santro instead, 2006-07 santro (exec preferably) were equipped with great quality componenets and they last a long time.. It should be good for another 3-5 years if you want to keep driving.
