Btw what do you feel after changing the racing track from Drag to Autocrossing??
Where can you place yourself and how much the acutual driving skills have you got yet after taking part in many rounds??

well i still go to sunday wit my friends to watch drag races n a lot of my friends r in drag racing....i m still learning at the autocross n taking advice from experience drivers like Mansoor Halim, Asad Khuhro n especially my uncle Salim Tabani...so far i ve improved lil bit before i used to comes 5th or 6th in C category... this time i managed to came 4th was very close to 3rd n 2nd timings ....i still miss drag racing but autocross is more of challenging n learning skills n a lot more fun to compete wit experience drivers

isn't that RX-7 in pic? As the pic states its RmX-8 and news details too quoted that Shyml Khorro was driving RX-8.

I hope such event happens in Lahore too.

thanks inshaAllah will win some trophys on next autocross :)....tht hatch was sold to a friends friend...he swapped it with B18c turbo n blew up the block...waiting for another block n parts forever...its been more than a yr now since tht hatch not on the road

yea its sad shes not on the road but the owner got another ek hatch (black) used to be red its uk model with sunroof with stock D14 engine..he bring most of the time on sunday as its his daily driven hatch :)...oh yes inshaAllah will win next time

but what abt the prizes. as i see it is a money making org......our khi auto cross.

as for the debate up btw

autocross and drag.

yar both are adreniline sports.

drag is more like a one time event and then u gota beat ur own time by adding mods. so basicly a car factor.

wheare as auto cross is a driver factor a guy with a lower powered car can beat a hp car just by skills. i guess;) free to debate.

the vettes,supras,gt-r,ferrari,mustang,porches,chargers, etc

to my knowledge i had seen a

f1 car pulling out of a bunglow in ph-4 or some wheare,it would be something arround year 2004.

wheare are all the hot cars.

this event prooves one thing lot of people will start going for sports cars like ferraris and porches and show up to these events as publics love to see these cars and go in aww

The procedure is that you come to the practise, which is on friday before each autocross event that is on a saturday, try out how you can drive, fill in the form right there make the payment and vola you're done! And if u dont come to the practise, come on the event day to the track at 6pm and get yourself registered.

as for the fee's, it's 3500/- for first timers (Novice)

There is a category for first timers known as Novice Category, its classified by the person driving, not the car, you can drive twice in the novice category with any car you want.

The term 'Bachon' is a misnomer as even the fastest driver driving the meanest machine on the track once started off as a novice also. Its a game of progression. Once one gets the hang of driving fast and getting his/her lines right than one can compete with the best of them.

Novice category is for those who have never auto crossed before. If you show up in your meanest baddest force inducted RX8 with slicks at the track for the first time, guess what, you will be in the Novice category competing against someone in a mehran. This is not an insult or deragotary in any ways, its just a simple fact that you are new at this along with 3-4 other drivers so its best you start of slow and not worry about ultimate pace in a safe controlled environment.

Novice spaces are limited so unlike events in other countries, a novice can only run 2 races in this category rather than a whole year, before he/she is thrown in the deep end with other drivers. Its only than when one can learn to push the car to the limits of its tyres or chassis rather than the limit of ones talent or skill in a safe environment.

yar it does'nt matter in what u show up! when i reffered to fi i said it just to see if it is possible fi is gona cost me like 10,000 usd + INSHALLAH pray ke mai sahi noot chapon then zaroor il show up fi

the best way to go arround is to make sure u can max every second of it every corner of it,risk it, give it all u got.
