It is jugaars like these which make modern cars like Liana fail in pakistan. Our mechanics are trained by their ustaads who were trained by their ustaads in the 60s and 70s. Those old cars had carburetors and dc generators.
Liana has an alternator instead of a generator and a voltage stabilizer and an ECU.
The ECU will shut the engine when it senses no battery. If it doesn't, the spike from your alternator will fry not only your ecu and/or other electricals, but also the diodes on your alternator.
In other words, never disconnect the batt in a running engine.
