when you are turning the car to either side, both outer joints will be having the stress so there is a thick possibility that sound can come from any side. you should not have blindly changed your outer axle without detailed inspection of both. which new axle you installed and price? the outer only or the whole shaft?
if inner axle is worn out, the car makes rattling noise while running straight - not on turns. if this is the case too, then you have to change the whole axle assembly as inner axles are not available separately. my car gave me really tough time initially w.r.t axles. i had a through research on it in karachi market - usually none of the axle repair shops keep a pair of liana original axles as they are damn expensive for them so they do not engage their capital by keeping them - so they put in altered things which sometimes work but sometimes fail miserably - my car have axles of baleno - altered - as i was not ready to spend 11-12k at that time to get genuine used ones - so i had a reliable expert opinion and the baleno's are going flawless Mashallah since over a year. get hold of a good chinese brand.will cost you 2-2.5k a pair and will last long provided the axle boots are not torn anytime in between - keep checking for the boots regularly and it will work
