Khuda ka khauf karo yaar, what are you trying to do to your car? Anyone who suggests anything above 30 for any of jdm imports is a fool. All the new jdms run on 30 or below viscocity oils. Forget about the whole temperature argument, research yourself, I was under the same dilemna for the longest time moved from 50 to 40 to 30 now even though official spec of my 10 year old car is 20w.
Anyone who feels what the right oil should be for their jdm in terms of weight range should do following:
- Visit google.com
- Search for castrol japan
- Choose translate option and load the homepage
- On top left you will read OIL SELECT
- Click on it
- Choose your car details
- Viola you have your correct wieght of oil displayed
There will be a few people who will now say it's too hot in PK to run 20w but it's 30 is fine, shell can found in the 30 range in nominal price. The people selling oil are not as educated as you can be, I have guided so many of them. For example people suggest the damn caltex coolant here, it's not suited to every car in fact it's suited to only a few.
Also ZIC is pure crap, I have had very long interesting discussions with oil sellers and apparently it's not what it used to be its all a sham operation now.
