I have a Mira too, it’s Eco Idle light was flashing, car was heating up,
So took it to Babu Bazar in Saddar Pindi. I was referred to a mechanic who was too busy to accept my car also because I didn’t take an appointment.
So then I roam the babu bazar and found a mechanic who’s board read Hybrid cars, showed him the heating problem,
I got 3 opinions from 3 people, my own mechanic in Karachi diagnosed it to be Thermostat valve (must mention he was on phone never touched or looked at the car) was helping me narrow down the issue. Pindi mechanic who refused to even touch the car smelled in radiator and said head gaskets gone need to machine new head.
Though this last guy looked at the car and said it’s nothing more then Radiator cap issue, and it actually turned out to be that.
So I left found another mechanic who’s board read “Get ur car checked on computer” so I went to him for ECO IDLE flashing, he checked the computer and it gave code P1602,
Mira P1602 DTC
which when I looked up and he also confirmed and double check with volt meter turned out to be battery volt issue.
Installed new battery Vola flashing lights gone, button also started working but car doesn’t idle on stop.
So I kept on reading and I guess first post is right need more amp battery I installed Hankok 42 amp battery. Will update after installing bigger battery.
