Arrow 660CC Japanese Imported Cars V/S Local Pakistani Cars

    Salam to PakWheels.com Mambers!

This is my first post at pakwheels.com and I really would like to get an opinions by experts. As you may all know, dealers are widely importing Japanese Used Cars and they all look better than current Pakistani cars and models. I have recently visited a dealer and saw few cars there, for example. Alto 2006 in 660cc, Mitsubishi EK Wagnor 660cc. My question is .. how are they in performance? Our Mehran @ 800cc can't afford AC, will they be able too handle @ 660cc? I live in Multan, what about comfort if I use them between Multan - Lahore, or Multan - Islamabad - Murree etc.. Will these cars perform better than Cultus (as most dealers claim they would)..

    Thank you!

But if you can take a mehran anywhere with 34 horsepower engine then these can go anywhere as well with 50 horsepower and better weight to power ratio

Avoid, this type of car is best option only if you want to keep it as a 2nd car. From your post its evident that it will be your first car as you intend using it for long drives also. So better decide accordingly.

Yes, it's my first car so I am doing all kind of homework. What 1000cc car in Japanese Imported cars is good and can handle all this..?

I am thinking of Swift DLX version too.. is that a good option?

If you want to compare japanese 660cc car, compare them with mehran or Alto. Bodywise, comfortwise, drivewise, Spacewise they are far far far far far better than mehran and alto.

Now in terms of how they are on pocket, remember you have to pay for better stuff always. Consumption wise 660cc car on petrol is like approx 1300cc car on cng. It gives 12 to 16km/l on petrol inside the city and much better on highways about 20km/l.

    you can check mine here

Because its 660cc, it will go upto 100km/h to 110km/h easily but above that it will be slightly harsh on the car although the meter says 140km/h. Regarding hilly areas if bolan can go up there on cng then it will surely do as well.

Bolan is a hit item for mountains due to its lower gear ratios. I dont think these 660 jap imports can beat bolan in hilly ascends.

Agree with dms, Suzuki Bolan and Suzuki Pickup perform very good in hilly areas due to their high torque engine.

Regarding Parts, yes they are expensive and mostly only available in big cities. In Peshawar now mechanics are getting better and understand most of the things.

Also remember that you don't require parts regularly if you drive responsibly. And some mechanical parts are similar to alto pakistani.

And I believe that the parts will get cheaper as these japanese 660 cars will become common.

For all who havent tried,, Kei cars(japanese 660cc) r AWESOME.i hv been using all kinds of pakistani cars small and big and also vitz.nowadays im using nissan moco and its pretty cheap to drive than all others and is as good as vitz in performance.eventhough its not so popular in market ive come to know that its parts r available.u can contact this person for parts3214834076(salman).above all it has options which even new corolla nd civic dont have like automatic dimming rearview mirrors(no glare from headlyts at night) and also hydraulic doors.sick pakistani cars lyk mehran /cuore dont even have efi, that makes them so costly to drive. It has efi as well as VVT which gives awesom performance and economy.since they hav more power than bolan(engine is old from 1980s in bolan kitara)they easily go uphill.after japanese people r wiser than us nd they build more safer cars than pakistani do.
