I have suzuki Mehran 2008 model... today morning when I was checking oil etc, I found a large body crack just near left front shock.what is the reason of that crack and how to fix it.:S
To me , it looks like potine (Filler) is cracking , your car had an accident and it was probably repaired. Else rusting may be causing this too
Na its not potiene cracking up. Its due to the extremely thin dalda can metal used to manufacture it and thanks to rust its cracking up. Get it fixed ASAP to avoid more rust
But its not just one crack there are many and dalda tin lol Can't comment on that lol else i would get banned [emoji14]
Manufacturing Faults to Suzuki ki Nishaani hai. Jis car mein atleast 12 Manufacturing Faults ho woh Lazmi Pak Suzuki ki bani hui hogi. Its part of there policy. Almost kept All Suzuki products so i know how their cars. Cracks r actually showing signs of rust and i can see a big opening for water to enter and cause damage, Seen this type of rust in many Suzukies, But it must be treated ASAP or it will cause more severe problems in the long run
I've heard that after 5-6 years mehran ka engine gir jata hay due to rust (In khi)

get it welded asap. else you will end up on the road with a broken shockabsorber mount. or broken control arm mount.
Well u can change the whole thing for Rs.2200...the part are available ...find a good denter n replace this whole panel...dont go for patch work...in my opinion this patch work wont last long as the torsion bar ,whole suspension pressure plus engine weight n all comes in this matter...so buy this whole part remove the old one...it will take about 3 days work with new paint inside as well...life easy hojaye ge...n yes dont worry tht the resale will effect do a proper job n it will repay u...thx...i hv done it on my old mehran long tym ago ...changed both sides for the whole satisfactory reason ...n the car came to life...
But repainted engine bay , it would be classified in major accident category!And replaced suspension mount.
so you would rather drive around with a compromised car just because "RESALE"???
at this moment the car is pretty badly damaged anyway - look at the shock tower itself, its crumpled - looks like this car was airborne for a bit of time.
when I bought mehran and took it to mechanic for inspection he straight away send me to denter and what denter said was "bhai ap ki gari ka engine mount tota hai jaldi badal do warna gadri aur shock pallel bhi crack ho jai gae" stupid car :S
It is repairable , for replacement seals would be disturbed and new seals would have to be made making it detectable.
Just like "Teen wala, daby wala, suzuki wala"
Thanks Xulfiqar for comment I dnt knw abt the accident, and no signs of rust. as car is driven in Quetta where chances of rusting is very low.I am worried abt that how it generates??? and how to fix it???

Yes its filler cracking, but it seems that cracks generates from inside filler (from body).Can u tell me that filler is used for repair work??? and what abt other new mehran that filler (poutine) is present in that particular area ???
owners of all Pakistan Suzuki cars should go to court against PakSuzuki. Or any International court there are thousand of victim of Paksuzuki in Pakistan.
No , if an area is repaired (Dented), then only filler is used to prepare base (To even out irregularities in the surface)!
What is the best solution for this crack so owner get minimum lose while resaling?
