Salamz everybody!
this is my very first thread.
I am quite confused with the engine oil selection for my Suzuki GS150 EuroII 2013/14
I previously had GS150 2008 and I was stuck with ZIC Hiflo 20W-50 as the previous owner was using the same oil and engine was set to 20W-50.
I recently upgraded to GS150 2013/14 (5000KMS) and like every-other person I am also dis-satisfied with Suzuki Genuine Oil 10W-40
Just because its a new bike so I cannot use 20w-50 so I start using ZIC A 10W-40 Synthetic. but it seems that Zic A doesn't last too long because after every 500KMS the engine sound was getting loud and I was changing the oil for every 500KMS
so now, as 20W-50 is not recommended for new engines and 10W-40 was not performing well after 500KMS
the OIL shopkeeper suggested me to go for ZIC M 15W-40 as its is in the middle of 10W-40 and 20W-50. It seems quite sensible to me and I decided to go for ZIC M 15W-40 Gasoline.
Now the sad story is my just after 2KMS the Tappet start sounding too loud, and even the gear starts heavy sound (KHATTAK) on every shift. NOW I am again going to oil shop to drain this ZIC M 15W-40.
BUT which oil should I select now. I am very much confused. as I tried all the three grades of ZIC and I am not satisfied.
20W-50 can be a good selection but I cannot use it in new engine and secondly it requires much more time to pump and its thick as well.
