Day 2:
Lot of confusion regarding the means to go to Malam Jabba. Rumours that the road is in pretty bad condition (due to ice) and normal car cann't go. Other sources tell that the road now is pretty clearr and any car can go. The ice was a couple of days ago and now everything is fine. Finally after receiving the confirmation that the road is clear and we can go in our own car, we started our journey around 9:30am. The weather was clear when we left. The paved road is narrow and 2 cars cann't pass at the same time and 1 had to move on the side.
There was no snow till 70% of the travel and we all were disappointed.
But after few turns the situation changed and snow was spotted
Then came a patch of the road with heavy ice and most of the cars were standing on the side putting chains on. As they say "When in Rome, do as the Romans do", I also pulled up my car and rented chains
A kid from the Chain wala group also sat with us to manage chains in case of any difficulty. That patch on the road was bit tricky and was difficult to negotiate without a chain. As we were putting the chains on, we heard a collision sound and saw an Alto hitting a parked JDM corrola. The Alto VXR guys when seeing the long que of cars suddenly applied brakes and his car slipped. surprisingly the damage to VXR was limited as compared to JDM corolla. (I know its all depends upon the angle of impact)
