i have done biking in bakot jungle about a decade before and now again was wishing to do it.
so this weekend as we couldnt go to rati gali due to some reasons, urgently made plan for biking in bakot jungle besides nathiya gali.
in whole of pakistan, as far as i have seen, i loved only three jungles.
1. bayal or raikot junggle under shadows of nangaperbet
2. sharan forests
3. bakot forests..
so about the recent tour. we started riding at about 10:30 at night from islamabad(2 honda 125 and one honda 70 with a team of 5 friends). reached khanuspur at about 2 o clock in morning, reached a top named as bhutto house, my favorite childhood campsite. camped there again remining the memories of a decade before
next day awoke up and while taking breakfast i along with my fellows were worried about the weather conditions. but anyways, we as planned left our rucksacks at a resthouse in khanuspur and drove straight to nathiya gali.
from nathiya gali we get our bikes on bakot forest road. it is a dangerous and steep track worn out and broken. not many vehicles move on this track. and this trek is not meant for "double sawari" atleast while coming back. (if u are on 125CC).
we reached core of bakot forests, and there we saw atmosphere which was indicating that it will start raining at any instant so we shortened our tour and drove back to nathiya gali.
infact our actual plan was to bike downhill upto kohala and than from rayala we are to get back to khanuspur.
we drove back from bakot towards nathiyagali and in way we were stuck with heavy rain. another problem comes to our bikes. they were not capable of bearing double sawari on the way back. hence i along with one of my old trekker mate started treking while bikes reached up there just with one on their seats.
anyways, i enjoyed a lot while treking in my dream forest bakot. though it was real cold but we were having jackets and raincoats.
reached back to khanuspur at maghrib time and than slowly we drove back to islamabad.
