The A6 lineup consists of two basic configurations, a sedan and a station wagon/estate/shooting brake, which Audi calls the Avant. The AWD allroad quattro is based on the Avant body, which is raised and features stainless steel linings on the underside of the front and rear of the car.
Audi has thoroughly updated their engine lineup for the A6 line, and has on offer three turbocharged gas engines with output ranging from 190 to 333 hp, and no less than 5 turbo diesel engines with output ranging from 150 hp on up to 326 hp.
The basic styling remains consistent with past models, but there have been some detail changes, notably in the grille, the front and rear bumpers, air inlets, side sills, tailpipes, and new headlights and taillights. The headlights are optionally available in LED or Matrix LED form that integrates with dynamic turn signals.
Audi has been a leader in driver assistance, and that's reflected in the new models with adaptive cruise control with the stop&go function; a night vision assistant; the pre sense basic safety system; and side assist, which uses radar to warn of any problems when changing lanes.
