My phone suddenly died and a red LED was flashing. I tried to press all keys but no response at all. I removed the battery for few seconds and plugged in again. However, my phone cannot turn on at all..any help??
Have you tried connecting your phone to computer? Maybe you go to a cell store and try a new battery.
Some GS4 and note2 had isolated mother board issues. But I will first try a replacement battery...

First try this : take out your battery, take out the simcard and the micro sd card. Now put in the battery and without turning on the phone plug in the charger. Let it be like that for 2 hours even if you don't see any visible signs of life.
If after two hours, you still can't turn on the phone, try a hard reset. Its usually done by pressing the home button, the volume down button and the power button all 3 simultaneously.
In case that doesn't work either, i am afraid yoir motherboard is fried.
It can be SDSSDS = Sudden Death Syndrome... Happens on Android devices.. You,ll be lucky if its under warrantee as it would be replaced with a new one.. Other wise ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
thx..i tried hard reset but no success..bt ill try removing battery and sim (no mirco SD)..it was all gud few hrs b4 all dis happened!1

My brother's Note 2 had the exact same issue yesterday only. Luckily it's still under warranty (about a month left) and has been claimed. The service centre people said that the motherboard got fried and would need replacement. Let's see what comes out of it!
they called and said they are unable to overwrite the boot filesthey are going to give one last try to it.have to check tommorow
if its a hardware fix, my phone wont be the same again
And this problem is common now in Samsung high end phones:mad:
M&P's service centre is in Islamabad. They deal with warranty claims but you can go to them and get estimate
Had the same problem with my Samsung S3 (Sudden Death Syndrome). Unfortunately I'm out of Pakistan right now and the cost of repair in North America is about 200 dollars. Looks like I'll have to get it fixed when I go to Pakistan next.

My S3 died suddenly about 2 weeks ago sent it to samsung repair centre they sent it back saying that it has water damage and is not covered in warranty they said this can be caused if u use ur phone outside in rain, in kitchen while cooking or even sweat. Looks like its common problem with samsung phones.
Switch to sony devices you will feel the difference.
