honda is not a imported car, incase of german cars once you place order than your very car has a waiting time in Germany starts manufacturing in the factory and then is readied for shipping and then shipped and waits here for some time for clearance and custom duties and then delivered to showroom all this process takes few months, each car is more or less custom ordered not like your honda/toyota which only have trim levels all the same. if one is so paranoid they can order it in march and receive it at the end of the same year or save up to buy a mercedes if really paranoid as shahanwaz does maintain a ready stock of models with differing optional extras and atleast 7 or more cars are parked with them at any given time and thats why they cost so much over.
Sure buyer its own free will but this is very funny thing I am coming across, whats next? buyers refusing to take delivery of their new cars be it any make because it does not say 00000 on the odometer at the time of delivery infact most cars have delivery miles be it 20,40 or 70km. should the buyer be beware beware for that too as thats not a new "zero meter" car as well? No because thats part of the procedure cant expect them to heli lift the car to the showroom from the factory and same way cant expect a magic fairy to manufacture your car abroad and deliver it to you quickly it. cant be helped importing a car takes time.
And really? worried about resale when discussing a BMW X1? a moment of silence if people are treating it like resale of local cars, also keep in mind that have bought and sold and dealt with many german cars most people who actually know their stuff dont care about such things, there are much more important things to ask and look at and bargain than oh whether its one or two month behind manufacture, maintenance being one of those important things.
