    Default Purchase of Diagnostic Tools/OBD II/EFi Scanners

    I m working in an organization which is having around 500 vehicles.Out of these, about 200 are EFi, including Toyota Corolla , Corona, Prado, Landcruiser, Cultus EFi, Landrover Discovery , Freelander, Hyundai Terracan etc.
    We are having our own workshop of about 70 persons but all EFi vehicles are required to be sent to the company if they develop any sensor trouble.
    Any company / supplier / person in Pakistan specially aroung karachi which can provide EFi Scanner/ OBDII to please contact through this thread or email at shahid_khi@yahoo.com.

    @Troubleshooter...........

    Your querry seems funny but I really dont understand that why dont your organization or your M/T section dont contact Toyota, Suzuki or Dewaan for providing after sale services and maitenance, or you can get the gadgets from these OEM's which they are using in their own service centers.

    Hope you understand my points and will help you to get the requisit done in a good way.

    @ Loagas...
    I dont know what is the fuuny part in my question. We are loacted atleat 50-60 KM away from all big cities due to our nature of job & it takes a lot of time to reach company which we are already doing. I contacted Toyota Rawal & toyta Capital in Islamabad but they are not willing to sell these gadgets. I also contacted Toyota Indus Karachi last month but the reply is still awaited from them.

    @ Xplorer...
    Thanks a lot explorer. You have given me correct guidance. I m grateful.

    well most might be obdII but still you will need a seperate diagnosis unit for each brand. I might be wrong though but that is how it is here

    a company which has 500 cars wouldnt mind buying OBDII scanners for a couple of hundred thousand. and for this money, they can have more than they actually need. google Gendan automotive, they offer excellent solutions. dont go for hand held scanners. they read fault codes only. u can read the fault codes via the diagnostic mode of the efi system manually too. go for the entire package. u might need EOBD/EOBDII scanners. just get in touch with gendan automotive.

    @muddy786
    Do you have something that can scan a 1996 Honda Civic Exi. It has a 3 pin DLC connector and not the standard OBD connector?

    @muddy

    Like the el376 ?? bro the units are not exepsive. but still for most you need a seperate cable to convert to the desired connector in the car and some require seperate software. the cables in the end will cost more then the unit

    I think ELM 327 is a multiprotocol scanner, which is available in only USD 32$ from China (like www.uiftech.com)
    Don't buy European or American tools because they are of atleast $100. Chinese scantools are fine
