The actual plan was to visit Skardu and Hunza but due to unavoidable circumstances had to postpone the trip.
Instead of going back immediately I decided to visit some worth seeing places which I had visited long time back. It was a long weekend because of 23rd March falling on Monday so that was the added advantage of not wasting my leaves.
Proceeded to Islamabad from Lahore on Saturday morning after visiting office :S. Stopped thrice since I was in no hurry and had ample time. Reached Islamabad at around 3. Planned to visit Pir Wadai bus stand but the traffic was a mess and after one hour of futile effort decided against it.
I went straight to my phuphos home thanks to sygic since I have no clue of Islamabad roads. Had late lunch and went to sleep.
In the evening went to book tickets for Natco Bus to Hunza and bought two tickets. Went back home and had dinner and again went to sleep. Day over.
Next day was Sunday so all family members decided to go for brunch at Islamabad Club. Went there for the first time. The food was good and enjoyed my brunch there.
From there all elders left for home but few cousins stayed back and we visited Rawal Dam, Pir Sohawa, Damn-e-Koh, Faisal Mosque, Centauras Mall and went back home to pack stuff and leave for Hunza.
Islamabad was almost sealed due to 23rd March Parade.
At around 7 I had to cancel my bus tickets and then went to airport to see if there were any flights. All the flights were booked till 10th April so decided to go to Swat. But then a change of mind occurred and decided to head back to Lahore and postpone the trip for a later time. On my way to Lahore visited Khewra Mines. Also wanted to visit Katas Raj but it was getting dark so didnt go there (maybe next time)
Now here are the pics.
