I will check the oil in the exhaust pipe as soon as i get back home. The compression is suffering . It has lost quite some power this month. And is burning alot of oil.

Last month I got a litre of oil(maybe a bit less) from the market. The oil was just at the lower mark of the gauge or a bit below. And i refilled it to about 2-3cm's above the upper mark. I drove to F-9 park from near the airport and drove around f-9 to g8 and then to f9 once or twice and then back to airport side. After that for 2-3 days i drove it like 3-6 kms a day. So i kind of felt i should check the oil and when i checked the gauge the oil was lower then the bottom point. Can you imagine?? . Its an oil guzzler i suppose. Other than that it was running very well with enough power to push you into the seat but from the last 2-3 weeks i have noticed that it has lost a good ammount of power. i dont know why But it feels kind of tired nowadays . Time for a rebuild . Finger's Crossed .
I guess the vw engines were Localy available back then and were cheaper too. Finding an ej22 here in pakistan is out of question i suppose that too at reasonable prices. Plus its the aircooled advantage too in a UL aircraft. Lots of cold air to keep it cool. Plus ej22 is too powerfull for what UL's my father had built.
