Anyways lets continue our journey
As we started on slope, i put the auto transmission initially in '2' position and then in '1' position, but found out that still brakes have to be applied continuously and also that car attain speed above 40 km/h within no time even on small straight stretch. Considering that speed above 40 km/h at '1' or '2' position may harm the transmission, i took the wrong decision to put that in normal 'D' position and now started downward only relying on brakes. Soon i noticed brakes getting hot, actually so hot that the brakes stopped working even on flooring of brake pedal. Within a second or 2, the car reached upto 80 km/h on that curvy slopy road. Thanks to Allah, i pressed the parking brake pedal (yes, parking brake is applied with foot pedal in Nissan AD) and it was effective enough to stop the car even on that speed. I thanked to Allah and now started very slowly. Soon, i found a water channel along road. Here, i did something, on which experts or car lovers would break my head. Yes, i cooled the brake disc and tyres by pouring cold water on it. Being an engineer myself, i knew that it can be very damaging to the brake discs due to sudden cooling, but what i had experienced just 40-50 seconds earlier, now i was willing to sacrifice the remaining life of brake discs. The brake discs were so hot that i poured more than 30 cans of water on each of them, but still the water was converting into steam even on pouring of 30th can. anyways, when i found the discs and tyres fully cooled, we continued ahead and Alhamdulillah now brakes were working fine. After almost 15 km, i repeated the same cooling process again. after which we finally reached the KKH by 2:40pm. As we had to stop more than twice for that brake issue, therefore it took us almost 2 hour from Babusar to KKH. Otherwise it is doable in 60-70 minutes. Other than slope issue, the road is perfectly fine and fully carpeted. There is a mildly rough stretch of less than 100m near KKH where a bridge is under construction. As we descend from Babusar, the valley gets lesser and lesser scenic in terms of greenery and mountain become more barren.

Pics from Zero Point. U can see board of Shangrila: 2km pointing towards left side,,,,, while we had to go to right side i.e. Gilgit, Hunza side
