I have checked a lot of sites and for N7X the engine is the same 1.5 litre 145n torque and 118 hp.
So I would think that if they are offering the same size engine then the cost should also be the same. We don't know the exact size of N7X so maybe they may charge more for the body being large. But the downside would be if the body is larger than brv then weight will also go up. and then this car having the same engine with bigger and heavier body will then be called underpowered, and it would be natural to call it so.
However, if they offer this heavier and larger body with 1.8 litre engine, IA I will be its first buyer. But with 1.5 litre engine offer, then I don't think that I will buy it.
Another point is that as it looks like an SUV and checking out the current SUV's available in the market, the 1.5 Turbo engine SUV's have a minimum weight of 1,500 kilo as compared to BRV's weight of around 1,200 kilo.
So if they offer the same engine as that of brv in the N7X then this engine will be carrying a heavier load of 300 kilo's more than brv and will put a strain on its engine, and pick up will be low and hill climbing will be affected. But if they offer the civic 1.8 engine in it or the turbo charged 1.5 L engine in it then this would be better.
But in both cases as these engines are in cars which cost around 10 lacs more than Brv then there are chances that they will also price it along with the normal civic or the turbocharged civic.
but here's hoping that they don't . but one point is definite that this will effect the sales of civic.
have you seen the new city design the 7th generation ? now you know why it was not introduced in pakistan, because it would have killed the sale of the aging civic.
