This de acceleration also happens in manuals, and in all cars. while going at 120 on motorway, even on slight inclines the cars will go down to 110 so this is in fact normal.
Yes it means that you will again have to engage the eco light again and again while travelling on the motorway even more so once you have crossed the 200 km mark from Lahore side as after that there are a lot of inclines and decline. Anyways my Islamabad average was 14 and going to Murree or hunza the TOTAL AVERAGE of coming and going was 14.
I had missed the petrol pump while going to Karachi when I had crossed Multan and I had to drive at 50-60 km speed for 1 hour till I reached a petrol pump and what I found out then was that the meter was showing 16-17 km per litre.
So as a constant speed of 50-60 you can get upto 16 km per litre (in manual).
however the company had increased the gear ratios of brv with the result that even in 6th gear, you hear engine droning noise and rpm is the same at 110 km in 6th gear as that of corolla 1.3 in 5th gear.
had the company maintained the normal ratios then manual brv in 6 gear would have given more than 17 km per litre.
however now in 6th gear you get more power and to overtake you just have to press down the accelerator.
please note that cvt gearbox eats up 18% of engine power so out of the 118 horse power you are left with around 100 horse power. My main reason for buying a manual plus I just had to bring a pay order and on the 2nd day i got delivery of manual brv.
Regarding alloy rims. these are not actual alloy rims (they are made of magnesium and are around 10% lighter then normal steel rims). So I have not changed my rims to alloy ones. Alloy rims main function is to be lighter so that the car handles better and gives better average and softer steering.
as brv alloys weigh more than the normal steel rims, so that was why i didn't go for them
