I second your search above. Engine oils do not have a shelf life, except when manufacturers are pressed for warranty purposes (of which there is no concept in Pakistan). Or if you wanted the latest advances (or additives) in engine oil.
5-10 years old oil in a sealed bottle stored in consistent weather (without touching extremes like 0-120℃) are acceptable for as long.
Even with temperatures going up and down like here in Pakistan, a bottle of old oil should be shaken and then poured, to ensure the oil and additives are thoroughly mixed. I believe this is common sense.
