Grading a car is tough task for inspectors, although in my opinion a low mileage 3.5 grade car with B I/E is much better than high mileage 4 grade car having C I/E. I have seen C grade interiors, almost every plastic panel on Dash is either repaired with black epoxy or you will find it as it is in broken condition.
Agreed,
Above all we can not just blindly believe on grading systems, we should inspect cars properly before buying them. I will share a complete inspection procedure once I get enough time to write about it.
Yes, This is main thing, since the comments are in japanese we cannot interpret them, Japanese auction some are strict, some let go.
Ive seen slightly dented cars in R grades and a full panel dent in 3/3.5 grade cars aswell, Any dealer that provides you a blurr photocopy of the auction sheet is usualy faking it up, mostly cars driven 181,xxx are shown as 81,000 and said genuine mileage (such touch ups can be done by 10 yr old on paint aswell).
I ve seen a R grade car with no body damage on the auction sheet, Just a w2 on the boot (left side) it was a Passo il try to find the picture and post it up here, since it was 26,000km driven and no visible body parts replaced i just thought strict checking would have put it in R since theirs a w2 on the boot.
But when i got it translated, the spare wheel area of the car was replaced, (since its undercarrage body maps doesnt show), and the car was a major hit aswell.
One should definetly look for a fresh car, with auction sheet, but a final inspection by your trusted denter/mechanic is important aswell.
Other then that even these R grade cars do quite well in Pakistan, and last longer then their substitutes in Pakistan. Personaly when buying a used car my priority is to know about the history of that car, (atleast one should know what it went thru).
If possible one should get a car direct delivered from the port, (these cars might cost more).
One last thing that id like to add is, Never NEVER EVER get fooled by (push start, key less entry, navigation bla bla, if you get them good, if you dont theirs always aftermarket avalible, the car it self should be of better condition a car with goodies having blurr headlights, scratches on body, cant be a 30k kms driven car.
Cars with surface rust can be standing at the port or at a parking yard for quite long time avoid such cars too (such cars are your last choice
Parking plazas flats parking and plots are flooded with cars that can be sold easily for 2 years (despite ban on 3 year old cars only, theirs enough stock of 5 years old to last 2 years easily, said by a dealer)
