the problem is counterholding the pulley too. and the use of a torque ratchet - the bolt is only tightened to about 105 lb/ft to 135 lb/ft depending on the engine. Its slightly more than the wheel lug nuts.
the pulley needs a counter hold and Honda have provided a huge hex cast into the pulley to use a hex shaped tool. You can also lock it from the starter hole - but its more work. A used nut is cheap and a few Rs to a welder can yeild excellent results.
the bolt requires oil on the washer face while tightening and its empirical that the threads inside the crankshaft are very clean - Both steps and the torque ratchet ensure the bolt remains where it should be.
