The ride belonged to our dear PW member @tahirwajeeh who likes to keep a maintained ride and knows how to do it too? His black civic looked great to most eyes, but with Tahir being a detailer he knew the car had swirls and there was a lot of margin of improvement if the swirls are removed to increase paint clarity. By the way, this was my first black car detail.
Black rides are the best and most rewarding to detail (if done rightly) but at the same time any defects/issues are prominently noticeable in the color too. So from my perspective, I knew I had to really ?detail? it.

PROCESS
????
Wash and Decontamination:
The car was washed with Meguiars HyperWash at a stronger dilution. The tyres and rims were also cleaned with a mild APC/shampoo solution and using a Daytona wheel brush (thats a hi-end brush for wheels with rounded bristles and doesn't scratch).
The paint was decontaminated with Nano skin fine grade sponge. The trims were brush washed with Apc+shampoo. Iron removal was done on the wheels using Wolf chemical Deironizer. Our PKDMs typically tend to have lesser iron contamination on the wheels but I wanted to test the product a bit so went with the rust removal.

Inspection and setting paint correction expectations:
I had already seen the car in sunlight the prior week and the car had a deep web of swirls and some RIDS (random independent deep scratches).
The car was a daily driven vehicle, some plans in consideration was to sale it in a few months so we both agreed to go with a 1 step correction to achieve 80% correction.
Paint Correction:
We set off to tape the lights and trim areas. Then Did a test spot with HD Adapt (one of the best 1 step compounds considered in the US). It passed our criteria and we then set off to repeat that on the entire car cleaning/changing pads as often needed.
In progress:
All polished:
Cleansing/Sealing:
I then cleansed/sealed the paint with the Duragloss Total performance polish (105) mixed with polished bonding agent (601).
Waxing:
A thin layer of Pinnacle Signature Series 2 wax was applied.

It was a pleasure doing the detail at Tahir's place for the hospitality was too good Also, Tahir accompanied me with the detail and that was very helpful. To this date, I still however rate it as my toughest detail due to the extreme heat I had to do it in (took me a full Sunday to recover)..
I hope you enjoyed the writeup and all queries/feedback is welcome
