last year Ramadan our fridge broke down and we decided to delay purchasing new fridge for 5-6 months and fix it as we recently bought new car and spend on Repair & maintenance of home! spend 10k on fridge including new compressor etc etc, the repairman also recommended to buy stabilizer but as usual we ignored it!!! funny part was when ever we arrange a daawat or family gathering the fridge breaks down which makes my mother mood quite upset! anyways fridge was working well until Eid Ul Fitr it broke down again!! lool phir ghar ka mohol down for a this bloody fridge not working but after few hours of checking here and there it was working again!!! whew
now came the Eid Ul Adha and once again fridge broke down! this time i furiously said that as soon as holidays will get over We will get the new Fridge to end this torture once and for all! all the foodstuff stored in the old fridge were distributed around the neighborhood!
now the time came to buy new fridge and so we left home around 11am in hunt! budget was before set for 40k but then our budget got shoot up 54k and finally at 7pm the delivery guy brought the fridge, now the time came to remove the old fridge to the garage and believe me the way I moved the fridge towards the garage was as if it was a piece of trash, kicking, removing bolts n nuts etc etc!!
At last the time came to start the fridge so at exactly 8pm I said Bismillah and turned on the switch! and it didnt start :@ it was tripping like the previous fridge on and off, on and off!!!! turns out the problem after all was the switch socket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not the fridge!!!!!!!! 50k ka chuna lag gaya!!!! till now we didnt told dad about this event!!!! replaced the socket for 150 rupees! the old fridge was working fine!!! sold it now!
moral of the story: check your socket before replacing any electric appliances!!
