Brother its simple you get what you pay for.
You can never expect Rs. 2,300/- engine oil to compete with Mobil 1 5W50 selling for above Rs. 4,000/-
Even he original European Total 9000 was never meant to compete with Mobil 1 they have Total INEO lubricant at the top.
Again you cant compare Rs. 4,000 Mobil 1 with Amsoil Signature Series oil selling in excess of Rs. 6,000/-
The real question is does your engine and driving conditions require that.
As part of a bet with a friend I used Mobil 1 0W40 in 2002 CL-9 for 13 months and 16,000 km and when I went to oil wala 'chotta ustaad' for change he said 'sahab oil mein abhi buhat jaan hai kab change karaya tha' I told him last month and he believed me.
So I believe no one beats Mobil 1, Shell Helix Ultra and LiquiMoly respectively apart from some European designer / racing oils like Amsoil Signature, Castrol Edge, Penzoil ultra, Red Line Euro, Valvoline SynPower and Royal Purple which are either not available locally or are insanely high priced.
