RFID is something that is used in identifying stuff...mainly used at shop floors in supermarkets or warehouses......FORD is using this technology to calculate its inventory at their warehouses in Europe....there needs to be a barcode on the product that is read by the machine....so it is only meant to calculate stuff helping to reduce the time taken for stock take...on the other hand immobiliser is sth that stops the car from starting in the absence of the correct key or a device that would allow the car to start
have the same thing installed in 2 of my cars.....it prevents the car from starting in the absence of the device that needs to be carried while driving....when out of range, the engine shuts off.......no way it is something close to an RFID.....it is something that stops the car from starting if the device is not in range, so categorized as an immobiliser
best of luck to the poster for a quick sale.....it takes a while to sell a clean car at the right price....have been there as sold my brother's 2011 (pre-facelift) Gli total genuine last year
