Its would have been better to get rid of scratches before selling. and there are two reasons for that.
- The look of the car becomes immaculate and keeps the buyer mind tilted towards its perfection. Every buyer wants a trouble free car.
- The cost of the car justifies the condition. Buyers try to negotiate the price on any weakness they see/find and here you are providing them a chance.
From a buyers psyche point of view, its good that u mentioned the scratches but from a business point of view, showing pics can leave a negative impact. Firstly it will turn away 50% of the buyers who may have showed up on your door step. Secondly it gives alot of time for potential buyers to show these pics of scratches to their denter/painter who then calculate the approx expense on these repairs and then give low offers. Lastly bear in mind that competition is tough for honda civics. Majority buyers would prefer a scratch less car if they are paying 2mil+.
