Why are you guys not understanding that this is how the tyres supposed to work, it is funny that the best driver on the grid fall to a mind game from a driver who was leading the GP first time in his career. I was quite sure that Alonso will win this race after the last pitstop as he started to cut down the gap quite fast but as soon as he was in the DRS zone of Maldonado, he start losing time. Maldonado on the other hand has done a seriously superb job by keeping his cool and wait for the right moment and then start building the gap.
Looks like for you guys, it is only good when the best driver wins the race but it is bad when some one else wins it by pure intelligence and hard work. Also, we will have a problem if HRT or Marussia wins a race because the difference between those teams with the other grid is quite big until then all the teams that have win the race or will win in the future in this season are doing it on genuine pace.
You can't say that Williams didnot have the pace this race or Mercedes don't have the pace in China or Alonso don't have the pace in Malaysia. All these teams have genuine pace in that specific GPs. Only McLaren and RedBull are the 2 teams which have the outright pace in all the GPs and the only reason they have not won more is because of their own mistakes. McLaren for their pitstop blunders and RedBull in because of bad strategy call.
UK, how could only 2 drivers were penalised for an infraction when the race saw drivers driving in groups. Vettel has DRS open in a non-Yellow Flag zone and he was penalised for putting a faster sector time on that lap. even though it is not necessary that he was fast on that very spot.
I have a question even the best and fastest car can't overcome the amount of time lost in the pits like Vettel did with his 4 stops including the penalty and a nose change, against a driver who has done 3 stops like Button and Rosberg. Hamilton is a different case as he has only done 2 stops so he was always going to be a easy target to overtake because his tyre grip lost was bigger then the other 2 drivers. How did he do that???
