1. Where did you get the parts from and where they were replaced? Parts were procurred and fitted by my usual mechanic in G-10, Huzaifa also known as Car Fest Islamabad. You can contact him on this number: 0344-5512155. Another good source is Nadir owner of NUIC RYD in E-11, you can call him on 0331-3336842.
2. Why did you replace them at the first instance and then why only the rear ones? Replace them why? Quite obvious, it was time to replace them. I usually do not spare a single rupee of work on any of my vehicles, past or present. The front suspension was replaced when I first bought the Prado. Now after a year of driving, the rear ones needed to be done.
3. What is your Prado's year of manufacture and year of import/registration? 1996 TX Limited, imported and registered in 2007.
4. How long this Prado is in your use and whether it is first runner or a second/alternate vehicle? More than 1 year. It is my only daily runner, offroader and tourer.
5. how you describe the experience like, drive/comfort, cost and ease of running/maintenance at Islamabad? This model of the Prado in my experience, is an all-rounder compared to the newer models. It is just the right size of SUV, not small and not too big either. The daily driving comfort is very good. Generally this model's suspension is very comfortable provided your suspension is well kept and tyres are good. IF you buy a clean one, it wont take much to maintain, just do the regular maintenance like oil changes etc. My Prado gives me 8km/litre with an automatic transmission in the city with AC on.
Hope this helps. Good luck with your final decision.
