@mashriqain
Thank you, sir, for this great service. This is a new type of thread in a while, which is posting some objective research on spare parts available in the market. Rather than how somebody went north or south or east or west or how they swapped engines (which not everybody needs to do), this info is actually something everybody needs once in a while - all users will find helpful in the days to come.
Now what I have noted in this thread and also referring your parallel thread Genuine Toyota Oil Filter - Japanese vs Thailand made is that you have written about the absence of bypass valve in Thai version of the filter (part # 90915-YZZE1), and also in this LePPON filter as well. I noted on the Russian website photographs (below I've inserted the quote from that thread) that in nearly all of the filters there is no dedicated relief valve. Instead, we can see only see this spring which pre-loads things so they don't keep bouncing around. What would you (or others) say about the absence of by-pass valve in almost ALL of the filters - even those which earn 5/5 rating? Or maybe the bypass is there but I'm somehow missing it. Or maybe the angle of photography is such that the valve (coil shape or whatever) isn't visible despite being there.
To put it again, ignoring the obvious details such as smaller area of filtering element, cheap quality of rubber and extraordinary use of gum, the number of parts used to assemble all the others is pretty similar to that of LePPON and nearly all of them lack the coil-shaped bypass which the Japanese filter (part # 90915-10003) has.
Please update your post with the link when you post the thread.
EDIT: OK I'll post the link: Guard filter teardown by username StrikerX.
