dear all...just sharing a small experience and it has made me really understand why these EFi cars are not for every mechanic...in short...never ever trust a single opinion of a mechanic and a doctor
my car was badly badly badly missing on petrol but was ok on cng...this issue started around 2 months back...i went to my mechanic..he said 'bhai ignition coils end per hain, ye change honge..aap ko kisne kaha tha liana lene ko?'..
my father was like fuming in anger as he said that original coils are over PKR 20k. he said that he'l take my car to shershah and kabuli ones will cost 8k or so.
khair, we kept running the car..went to a cng wala, he said aap ki car ka aik 'cylinder leak hai'...poora head khulay ga etc etc.. i drove away..
i went to another cng wala...he said scanner lge ga, saray sensors check honge phir estimate dunga, which could be high...i again drove away..
i was talking to my generator repair walay uncle as my home generator was having some issues..i said if he can see the problem of my car..he said kahan hai car?...he opened the bonnet, and just said k 'no issue of ignition coils, warna car cng pe rula deti'...it was a bit of relief for me..
then again, i went to another very trusted mechanic...he simply kept my car on petrol and made direct connection of each injector, one by one, through wiring coming from emulator..the 2nd from left was not getting current from emulator..jiski wajha se petrol pe missing ho rahi thi he said to go to a cng wala...i went there...he said, emulator change hoga...2600 ka hai new..aur repair nahi ho sakta...i again drove away
then , i went to an electrician at mukka chowk...know him with a corolla owner's ref...he took out the emulator, and just 5 mins of working on circuit...and my problem is gone... - total kharcha Rs 400!!!
Bottom line: This whole story is my very own experience - not my chachas/mamus/cousins told story..just for benefit of my fellow PW bros!
NEVER EVER RUN AFTER OPINION OF A SINGLE MECHANIC
