@jehanzeb101 no personal attacks were intended, each issue was explained technically and no sweeping statements were made. i did not assume anything and wrote "i guess" in relation to you having the base climate control system.
the fact that you wen tot the trouble of creating a new thread just for what the way your opening post was written in a continuous passage seemed like a rant and i wanted to say my own point of view supported by technical facts.
if you still want to have a meaningful discussion on this thread relating to the issues you just mentioned then it would be nice for everyone knowledge. such as on SBC, yes it had a few issues and 680,000 vehicles were recalled which is common in the industry, look at the number of bmw and toyota and honda recalled vehicles. the creators of the system even received the micro-club award by a association brake engineerings recognising the marvel that SBC was and later it went on to be used in the Mercedes SLR. if there was serious problems with it they wouldn't have risked it with their super car.
i still struggle to understand if you are so knowledgeable and know all the in and outs of Mercedes why did you buy it in pakistan when you clearly already didn't like it. just like Mr.Fouad had his doubts he test drove the car didn't like it and walked away, thats perfectly reasonable.
In the end each car would have its ups and downs, i like the fact that Mercedes is not for everybody and reserved for a certain class of people, i would never want it to get common like a corolla, as thats the whole fun and exclusivity of the brand, i like going to Shanawaz in mine, they haven't robbed me yet, and i like talking and checking out the latest models and their owners while there, everyone i have met is nice and knowledgeable, there are a few in my experience who despite their knowledge simply drop off the car and go about their business only to complain later.
I like Mercedes brand before and still do now and we both are entitled to our opinion and am a satisfied owner. no offence was ever intended.
