@akbargr8:
it would be a good idea to direct the thread towards Corolla as well as City, as both have well-recognised problems with brakes/skidding...myself and the originator of this thread are two witnesses in this thread alone.
as far as absorbing the impact is concerned...the car is crumpled like paper! and the windscreen is smashed not from the driver's head (he would be dead or severly injured)...we all know City is a delicate car..its also the most common car on PW crashed segments.
i myself said that driving habits are the primary reasons for accidents, however, you might encounter an unexpected situation requiring emergency braking, or you might have to counter for the mistakes of others...so the significance of good brakes CANNOT be ignored.
lawsuit for overpriced cars? a manufacturer can demand whatever price it likes..its upto the people to buy it or not. this is not ATTA or BIJLI...nobody is forcing you to buy it either...and you have a lot of choice as well. Cultus in 7K obviously has something that appeals to the public, otherwise everyone would be going for joy/vitz/platz/belta/march and what not.
shame on honda for making shitty brakes...if this were another country, they would've been taught a lesson. its only in Pakistan were these manufacturers can get away with such major safety lapses.
