Sorry to know about your dad. Grandfather, father and son come in a sequence but no one knows who will leave this world first. may God bless your dad in paradise, ameen.
Your experience on 4X4 since childhood may have been amazing but do consider the changing times. Diesel was cheaper back then. Roads were worse than today. In remote places, you could find diesel but petrol may be short especially northern areas.
Nowadays, people take a corolla, mehran, baleno everywhere, even in dirt and muddy roads of villages. However, i do agree, the feel of a SUV is powerful, it gives independence due to its road clearance and the ability to go off-road if necessary. I am not sure if you have an idea about maintenance, tuning etc of an SUV. Its tyres, parts, lights cost more. True, if you have money, you can put lots more accessories, whistles and bells on it more than a car like a rack of HID on top and front, tow bar, winch and what not.You can make it a mean Off-road machine or a decent family SUV.
You are grown up now and your childhood is over, make a wise decision that gives u peace of mind, not constant trips to the mechanics.
