it all depends on what is priority....saving ur money by driving a tyre or over a lac, or saving ur life by driving a tyre for 60-65k using a better, more reliable brand. If these Federals were this good being PERFECT tyres and STILL running over 1 lac kilometers, trust me, the company wont be selling a piece for 7k, never ever. paisa kis ko bura lagta hay. hope my point is clear
Have you also experienced stupid tire sellers?
yes i did indeed and usually they caught my complete undivided attention in a fraction of a second as soon as they start pitching there idea of supreme being who has a phd in all rubber products which are not limited to products with ultimate fraction and some of them give you no fraction at all without any lubrication.
Rubber usually reduce traction if employed in human applications.
if libricant is invilved thn it will reduce fraction in any application.
Inappropriate lubricants damage the rubber causing unwanted results.
inapropriate involvement of any foreigh agent usually results in unwanted outcome.
There are self healing chemical application in case of failures but safe results are not guaranteed.
but some people with small brain do not understand the reality of life that nothing is safe.
People simply assume that roads everywhere else in the world are made by angels with God as their supervisor. They should drive on the one of the "chitti" roads in the US.. Its like driving over a mince machine with railway type dividers so all you hear is the loud screaming of tyres and the rythmic tak tak tak of a railway train.
Then we have the rural roads which have pot holes the size of canyons
Before changing tyres in my SUV I studied a lot and had choosen Michellin Latitude Tour HP, as NASA space Shuttle is only and only using Michellin tyres and also with other brands of aviation tyres the maximum landings are 250 but Michellin designed to double this number of landings so we can see how they are engineering the tyres also as you said 100,000km life of tyre so normally tyre will expire in 4 years I mean if you drive on a very smooth road you will find some vibrations due to flat spots in the tyre and tyre rubber will no longer in a condition to with stand stresses and may burst at any time. but any way I will study about federal tyres.
that is just my input to this thread please do not irritate with any of my word.
Michelin do make the best tyres par none, They come out as the most true on the road force wheel balance machine and wear out nicely, they dont last for years and years - but wear out in about 50,000 kms - at this time the rubber itself starts to go bad, so its time for new tires.
lol thats true, after driving on chitti road for and hour the resonance gets in your body and even after getting out of teh car you can feel your body is making sound of zoooom,,,,,mmmmmmmzooo,,,,mmmmmmm,,,bnnnnn like a honey bee.
if tehy make good tyres than why yuo told me to buy dunlop dc3 for winter?
I drive arround 20,000 kms every year so as you said may be another year and half for me to change but they say latitude tour hp is more quiet, and fuel saving tyre so let us see how much i can get out of these tyres.
they dont make good winter tyres - and winter where you live is more correctly termed as HELL
yep - and even driving my mercedes which has a lot of insulation I can still hear that, I did take a civic over the same highway - MY GOD, I had a headache for a week.
when i drive over the white road it tickles my balls also.
thats was forced or false perspective?
HELL can be hot or cold - but in extremes only, man - where you live dogs pee yellow ice cubes in the winter, Tyres are literally square after sitting overnight and I can bet you can kiss the engine good bye if you do not use 0W30 full synthetic engine oil.
