During all this process engine was mounted temporarily on jack and supports. However, the transmission mount was fixed.
Tub was placed to see its fiiting and clearance. Minor adjustments were made in engine position.
Finally, line of engine was set parallel to frame side rails. This was accomplised by measuring the equal distance of left frame rail from,
1-center of engine's front i.e. centre nut of pulley and
2-the centre of transmission's rear i.e., nut of main shaft
Once the mounting is finalized, the measurements were taken for new foundations to be welded on frame.
Engine and body tub was removed. New foundations were fabricated from thick steel sheet and welded on frame. Before final welding, once again engine was mounted to see its fitting with new foundations. After minor grinding the foundations were finally welded.
