I just returned from Naran two days back. It took us 3 hours from Balakot to reach Naran on my Corolla Altis 2005. The road from Balakot to Paras was excellent and after that there were some bad patches and glaciers and streams running across the roads and also there were few patches where half of the road had sinked into river during 2010 flood.. The worst point was right after Paras where road had completely disappeared into a massive land slide that happened last year. FWO have provided an alternate route there that goes steep down along the river Kunhar and then ascends to the main road. That pacth was definitely not for the Kamzor dil Hazraat. Secondly the last glacier before Naran is hardest to cross as it hits ur car from below.. And its of no use to go to Naran before end of June as all roads ahead Naran are still closed and u cant go to Lalazar, Jhalkad and even reaching Lake Saif ul Muluk is too risky.. Also the saif ul Muluk is still frozen so no need to take the risk
