its is exactly as you say, blocked at cold, slightly open at hot.
in the manual of the car it shows two types of air intakes:
type a - has a both hot & cold intake areas.
type b(this one) - has only one intake route...
so what to do for the hic?? where should it lead? how can i fix this?
one more finding is that whenever the radiator fan starts, idling gets a little faster(read - bearable; i havn't discovered any vacuum switch that could sense the fan running or any electrics being used). after a few tests i concluded that when radiator fan switches on, it blows hot air into the mouth of the air intake and that leans out the idling A/F mixture. strange isnt it?
EDIT: even when i blow air with my mouth into the intake's end the idling gets normal!! wtf???
