Hahaha ... this is kinda funny.
First of all ... the G16B is a 99hp motor with around 140nm of torque, inside a Swift ... it will be not more than one car behind a stock GTTi.
IF you put up some basic mods on he G16b, like headers, intake, free flow, msd ignition better spark plugs and tune it a bit ... you are definately going to win ... the G16B from the Baleno 1.6GTi has a very restrictive airbox, even changing that gets you a boost of power.
I wouldnt even bother racing a stock GTti if I had an intercooled turbo in my G16B.
@Farrukh ...
Dude, do you realize what 10 sec cars are ? With some good mods ??? Iin sey nahe bannay waleen 10 sec cars ... on 4EFTE ... kafi boost hoga, bht kuch badalna paraiga ... you will have to build a weekend/track car out of it since with the level of boost its gona run and the slicks it will need for all that power, you aint going to be driving it dialy.
The GTti has a good engine ... but it has its limits ... at 12psi it makes around 100 something hp, if you take a D16Z6 and boost that to 12psi (All stock internals will work, just need to chip the ecu, get some bigger injectors and ofcourse make/get the whole turbo kit) you are gona have wayyyy more hp ... around 75% more than the GTti ... expect 150-160hp easily.
GTti is good if you want to tune it up a bit and use it for dialy running ... you want some real high power for some good street drags ... get something with a bigger engine.
@salmang
All those engines can spank a GTti if the GTti is on stock boost. If you mod your GTti then ofcourse you can win against other stock engines. But then ... you can now say Evos are nothing infront of Starlets since faraz bhai beat an evo9, and casper beats supras with his 4efte (starlet engine) powered charade.
Stock aur mod ka farq hai ... aur potential main in an engine there is NO replacment for displacment.
GTti at stock boost will beat a VTi cus of weight, try against a B16 Integra XSi, both stock (stock boost on GTti). Swift GTi MK2 sath sath chalaigee ... and mind u its not even a turbo.
