If someone still looking into this topic, a hybrid reborn is not a fully hybrid vehicle. It uses Honda IMA technology. It only has a small 20hp motor, which mainly assists the engine to cover the 1.8L vs 1.3L difference. It has nice pick. Kind of same power but in a different way.
It is not designed to accelerate on just the electric motor, but the motor can maintain the speed (under 50km/L, try releasing the accelerator and gently holding it). It will give to 16-20 km/L fuel average. It can't be compared to other hybrids as it doesn't have a powerful motor to just run electric.
I have seen Prius, Aqua at mechanic 's. Their build quality in nothing compared to it. If one is really concerned about the fuel economy, they should go for others. If someone is looking for Honda, but with better economy, go for it. Or import the new 2023 Civic hybrid if you have the resources.
