People Like the change but resist the Change.
We can say that in our country people don’t like the change. I have many examples and Mind of the people are right for some extent (30-40%).
For HONDA Bikes:
Honda Update its model line up with CD Dream, CG Dream, Deluxe and CD100 to Pridor, but you know these all variants sale is not higher than a Simple CD-70 and simple CG-125. U know why?
Because people always prefer solid looking bike, no body accept the Plastic Mudguard’s, Headlight Visor, people said, “Kaghzi bike hai”, Madguard toot jate hain, Purana wala to repair ho jata hai, Signals pe agli bike se lag jai to Plier se seedha ho jata hai”
You will see many people who even didn’t wash their bike for months. Bike Mudguards are full of Rust and big hole in Mud guards.
2ndly a simple bike and load more and more items for a shopkeeper, even 3 bags of wheat, cement, etc
You will see 5 person on a CD 70 many time, with almost finished Tyres, careless behavior of people, so these all factors contributes in people mind, they thinking as well.
3[SUP]rd[/SUP] the resale factor, people will buy a crap and ride it to next 5 year just to get a good resale money like some 5 to 10 thousand rupees and prefer this money over Comfort, reliability, quality.
A Sports Fuel tank will not Carry 2 child on Tank or Wheat so this is also the funny aspect of Honda success.
NOW COME TO PEOPLE MIND ABOUT EVERY NEW ENTRANT IN MARKET
Now Yamaha is coming and I think Yamaha Priced their Bike reasonability but people still complaining…
“High Price, Low Quality, should not more than 1.5 lakh etc”
If Yamaha set High prices then Honda competitor model then people said, they will fail, etc
If they set Low price then people said, how they afford all feather with this prices, defiantly compromise on quality.
I am unable to understand people.
MY POINT:
My point is that we should appreciate new entrants into out limited market, Quality, Price, everything will change with time and with competition, When people have choices they competition will play a good role, same problem with our car industry, Suzuki Taking Small vehicle, whereas Toyota capture Middle and High end with little competition with HONDA.
At least Yamaha case is different they proves their products in PAST and their models are internationally well reputed. I am sure after Yamaha Entrance Honda defiantly update their lineup and Suzuki will also think so at the end we consumers / customer have good choices
